At Valleys Pest Services, we know just how unwelcome rats and mice are. Unfortunately, the rodents themselves often don't get the message. If rodents are constantly trying to make your home theirs, we can assist. They are not just unhygienic and causing risk to health, but they can often cause property damage and serious safety issues at your property too - by chewing through wires and destroying electrical equipment.
The term "rodents" encompasses the group of animals that includes rats, mice, squirrels, beavers, chipmunks, hamsters and guinea pigs. Of course in Australia, the main rodents of concern in homes and businesses are rats and mice.
Inspection is always an integral part of pest control; but it is especially important when it comes to rodents. We are highly skilled at identifying potential entry points and implementing or recommending solutions to overcome the weak points, as well as identifying all risk factors present to enable you to take action to significantly reduce your risk of rodent infestation in future.
We will install a rodent management system consisting of a perimeter of lockable rodent baiting stations, and stations installed to high risk locations so that when rats or mice go scavenging for food, they come across the perimeter of stations first, feast on a meal of bait and therefore don't have the need to continue on into your home to find food. Within days, the rodents will perish. We can also install bait in locations like roof voids to target their typical harbourage areas.
Valleys Pest Services always prioritizes safety.
Whenever there are non-chemical solutions to a rodent (or any other pest problem for that matter), we will always use these as a first line treatment.
The use of lockable rodent stations ensures that children and pets can't get their hands on the bait as the stations are designed so that little hands or paws cannot access the bait. The stations we use come with an individual key for each station.
We will never leave bait loose for anyone to come across.
The bait we use has been rigorously studied and tested.
Although often mistaken for a rodent, being frequently described as appearing like a "large rat", possums, are actually marsupials, not rodents.
There are completely different protocols when it comes to dealing with possums, and strict regulations around their management. See our Possum relocation page for more information about possums.
